e chase to claim the 2008 track championship at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. will end this Friday night, Sept. 12 with the Season Championships on the line. The USRA Modified crown will go to the wire as three drivers are battling hard.

With over 75 race teams in the pits and a smooth fast racing surface the Midway Speedway presented a regular points show and the race for the Purple Crown as Relay For Life teams sold tickets and well represented the upcoming Walk as Lebanon's Jamie Ragland overcame early adversity to come from behind in capturing the USRA Modified feature win and protecting his points lead.

After taking a week off, the Midway Speedway will swing back into action this weekend with a regular points show featuring USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, B-Mods, SuperStocks and Bombers.

With 90 race teams in the pits, action again was fast and furious on the Action Track of the Ozarks as the chase for the championship got even closer in the USRA Modifieds as former Midway Speedway track champion Jamie Ragland captured his second straight feature win.

Current USRA Modified points leader Jimmy Willis is proving that statement to be true as he took the lead on lap 2 and held off repeated challanges from Justin Neuman and Eric Hudson to take his second feature win of the 2008 racing season Friday night at the Midway Speedway.
