The 2008 chase for the Midway Speedway championships continue this Friday night with action in the USRA Modifieds. Coming off a very successful night last Friday, the parity of the action continues Jimmy Willis of Macks Creek continues atop the points.

Four Tracks in Southwest Missouri are working together to help make some special events even better for them all as the Midway Speedway, I-44 Speedway, Springfield Raceway and Monett Speedway are helping each other by not scheduling on top of each other's special events, starting with the Labor Day Weekend shows.

Lebanon's Jamie Ragland and the Midway Speedway have been a well fit match for each other. On Friday night, Ragland battled early with race leader Justin Neuman and took control on lap 11 to capture his fourth USRA Modified feature event of the season. Ninety race teams checked into the pits on Amsoil Night at the Races.

The racing action on Friday night, Aug. 15, will feature a special treat for both drivers and fans as the track will present Amsoil Night with a special on-track autograph session along with meeting and greeting the drivers who make the Midway Speedway a special place to race at.

They say after you capture your first win the rest come easy. Current USRA Modified points leader Jimmy Willis is proving that statement to be true as he took the lead on lap 2 and held off repeated challanges from Justin Neuman and Eric Hudson to take his second feature win of the 2008 racing season Friday night at the Midway Speedway.

Despite a late afternoon rain shower over 90 race teams checked into the pits for another night of close racing at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. The USRA Modified feature looked like a full moon event with a wild outcome and finish.

With over 80 race teams on double points night, the action was again fast and furious at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., as the new and first-time winners just keep rolling on in 2008.

The Modifieds of the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series have provided not only a lot of power, but also a very competitive field. Going into this weekend Jimmy Willis of Macks Creek takes over the points lead with a nine-marker lead over 2005 track champion Jamie Ragland.

The Midway Speedway provided plenty of excitement and action as the Action Track of The Ozarks hosted the 2nd Annual Larry Phillips Birthday Bash with over 135 race teams in the pits.

The Midway Speedway is getting ready for the 2nd annual Larry Phillips Birthday Bash on Friday night, July 11. The race, named in the honor of former great driving star Larry Phillips, is ran one week later than his birthday, which was July 3.

With over 100 cars in the pits and a capacity crowd to witness fireworks and racing action, five new drivers grabbed their first Midway Speedway wins of 2008. In the closing laps, Johnny Bone Jr. pulled away to capture his first ever Midway Speedway feature win.

The Midway Speedway will be providing plenty of bang-up action on Friday night, July 4, as a fireworks show will be included in the racing action as the new action track of the Ozarks will bring in America's birthday in grand style.
