Season Openers and Closers Announced for 2025 Tours

Heartland Promotions momentum continues to build in 2025 with season opening and championship events all confirmed for the USRA American Racer Modified Series, USRA Heartland Modified Tour, and the inaugural season for the USRA Northern Lights Modified Series.

Earlier this week, officials with both POWRi and Heartland Promotions finalized a deal that will see the USRA American Racer Modified Series open its season at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Ft. Worth, Texas on February 21 and 22, alongside the POWRi 410 Sprint Car Series and 305 Sprint Cars. From there it is a short trip down to Heart-O-Texas Speedway just outside of  Waco, where ARMS competitors will play a Thursday night show, opening the weekend before the big brethren of the United States Modified Touring Series rip the lid off the top of their 2025 season.

Targeting a possible 20 race schedule, it’ll be deja’vu for USRA American Racer Modified Series as they close the 2025 calendar on November 7 & 8, at Texas Motor Speedway, once again joining the POWRi410 Sprint Car Series and the Revival Late Model Series.

Another possible 20 race slate looms for competitors looking to participate in the inaugural season with the USRA Northern Lights Modified Series. The NLMS will debut at select tracks in the region, anchored by a marquee partnership with Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin.

The NMLS will run seven total races at Mississippi Thunder Speedway, with six coming as a cornerstone of two major events. The Dairyland Showdown, May 1-3, will open the year, while the season-ending North Star Nationals, September 4-6, will see the inaugural series champion crowned.

Heartland Promotions officials are working hard to finalize the final few dates for both the USRA American Racer Modified Tour and Northern Lights Modified Series, will complete series schedules due to be released soon.

“I’m really excited about the schedules we have been able to put together thus far for all 3 regional series,” commented Series Director Erick Chesterman. “The ARMS series enters it’s fifth season, and I heard rumblings this winter that some people thought this series was in trouble. We tried some things last year that didn’t work as well as we hoped, but we don’t give up easily and learned from every experience a year ago. We are focused on presenting a profitable product for our key partners and racetracks, as well as building a schedule that our competitors enjoy more. We have a great core group of drivers, and I have no doubt this  year’s schedule will please them as well. That begins with taking the heat of the summer off from the middle of June to the middle of August. There is a lot of racing in the DFW area during the summer, and it can wear on guys and their equipment. I believe this will be a banner type of year for the American Racer Modified Series.”

“For the new Northern Lights Series, it reminds me a lot of last year with the Heartland Tour,” Chesterman further elaborated. “A lot of conversations, email chains, and education when talking to track promoters and partners regarding what our new series is about and what we bring to the table. We have an awesome group of tracks that have signed onboard, and I can’t wait to see what type of driver roster we will have this season.  I have no doubt it will be stout! It’s exciting knowing that we are nearly done with the full schedules for both ARMS and NLMS, and we can get both of them release soon!”

For the USRA Heartland Modified Tour, the season will begin with a doubleheader weekend at FOE Enterprise’s Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS with the Inaugural running of the Whitworth Spring Classic on March 21 and 22.The event honors the Whitworth family, former owners of the Humboldt Speedway, and creators of some of the most popular USMTS and USRA Modified and B-Mod events in the country.

The USRA Heartland Modified Tour will once again close their season at Mike and Kyle Johnson’s I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO. Different from last season, championship weekend will now be a two-night affair atop the northwest Missouri oval on October 17 and 18. As previously released, a complete 2025 season schedule for the USRA Heartland Modified Tour can be found at heartlandmodifiedtour.com.

“We were fortunate with the amount of success the USRA Heartland Modified Tour experienced in it’s first season,” said Chesterman. “We had a unique experience building the schedule for year two in that we had more interest from tracks both new and existing to the schedule than we had race dates available. Our drivers really liked the 20-22 race schedule and we felt it was important to stay around that number for year two. I would expect we will be just as strong once again in 2025!”

Alongside completing the ARMS and NLMS schedules, series officials are also working to secure series points funding and marketing partnerships, updating series rules and guidelines, as well as add additional help at each event in 2025. More information and announcements will be released in the coming weeks ahead of our season opening events.
