ARMS & HMT Point Funds Announced

One of the biggest projects of the off-season in anticipation of the upcoming year is the development of partnerships. For both the Heartland Modified Tour Presented by Real Racing Wheels and the American Racer Modified Series Presented by Day Motorsports, there has been a points fund established for outstanding performance and dedication in the 2024 season. This is made possible by the generous support of businesses and individuals who want to see both series succeed.

$64,000 total has been allocated for the points fund, with $32,000 going to each series. The champion of each series will walk away with $7,500. It will pay back ten positions, with 10th place taking $2,000. A full breakdown will be listed below. Both series will pay an identical amount, per position, so long as minimum attendance requirements are met.

There was much consultation with USRA President Todd Staley. He helped the ownership group in every facet of developing these tours from just ideas. His support continues to be an invaluable part of the operation of both tours.

“We have had so much fun getting these series off the ground,” commented series partner Trenton Berry. “First and foremost we had to have Todd's blessing and support. To be able to pick up the phone and talk to a legend in this sport is everything. There's nothing he didn't have the answer to every time we had a question.”

“Erick and Austin and I have all focused on different parts of the tours, and we have had many phone calls going over ideas and scenarios,” Berry elaborated. “This points fund has been a central focus for the three of us, knowing we needed to secure quite a bit of sponsorship to pull it off. Luckily, we found many great folks who have been instrumental in RacinDirt over the years, and a host of new supporters who believe in what we're doing. From the bottom of my heart, I can't say thank you enough to all of them. It doesn't happen at this level without their support.”

Berry further added, “We had a tremendous amount of help from Joe Duvall as well. He made numerous calls to friends and partners of his to help us hit our goals for both tours. Winning the 2023 ARMS championship, Duvall knows the value of the check at the end of the season. He went above and beyond what was expected, with no ask of anything in return. Every part of these series has been a grassroots, boot-strap effort and so enjoyable!”
